My Parents were rodeo performers, and I traveled with them throughout the Western States. At the age of nine I moved aboard a sailboat with my father ( he was also a carpenter), while my mother re-married and continued with the rodeo. My seasons were split between them.
After high school I continued to sail then enlisted in Army and went to Germany. Upon my discharge I attended a one year boatbuilding school, later working on the Island of St. Croix constructing large sailing catamarans.
During the 90’s I relocated to the Oregon Coast and went to a two year college, receiving an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts.
Since then I’ve spent my time working as a sailing captain and boatwright in the Caribbean, California, and Massachusetts.
